To share what we are and not only what we do, to discover each other, to create links, to foster communication and communion and to close our training courses this year, the Brothers, associates and collaborators from the areas of Catalonia and central Spain met on 15 June. The former at Can Xic (Sant Celoni) and the latter at the College-Seminary of La Aguilera (Aranda de Duero).
A beautiful day in both Catalonia and Aranda de Duero provided the setting for the joy of this meeting.
In Catalonia, fifty-four veteran associates enjoyed the countryside, pleasant discussions, a fun raffle of a ham, animated by Raquel Torres, that raised a little money to carry out other actions, and a succulent and gigantic paella organised, as usual, by the associate Luis Clemente, which delighted everyone. During the Eucharist, presided by Brother José María Vicario, everyone thanked the Lord for the wonders he had worked in everyone.
In the central area of Spain, around thirty people including Brothers, veteran associates from Madrid, Aranda and even Jaén and collaborators-teachers from both schools, enjoyed a very interesting and enjoyable talk by Mr. Máximo López, a specialist in the History of the Douro, on the congregations that, over the centuries, had been established in the area. This was followed by the Eucharist presided over by Brother Ángel Llana and, as they say here, … from the Mass to the table, where not only food was shared but also relaxed conversations on a variety of subjects.
In the afternoon, Brother Ángel Llana, vice-postulator of the cause for the beatification of the Brothers martyrs of the faith, updated everyone on the current state of the process. It was a very full day and the scenery of the Seminary Centre of La Aguilera contributed, as usual, to everyone feeling relaxed and at ease.
How important these family moments are!
