“The Rosary is the most powerful weapon to touch the Heart of Jesus, our Redeemer, who loves his Mother” – St. Louis de Montfort
On Friday, 28th Oct, the Members of MGA, St Thomas Mount celebrated the Feast of our Lady of the Holy Rosary. At 4.00 pm the MGA members of Montfort ITI animated the Holy Rosary offering up special intentions and Marian Hymns after each decade. The Litany of the Rosary was recited after which Rev. Fr. Lazer, svd. celebrated the Holy Mass.
During the homily Rev. Fr. Lazer highlighted the personality of St Montfort and how the Papacy during his time were greatly influenced by his writings, furthermore how we must also do everything keeping ‘God Alone’ as our motto and even our small deeds and actions must be for the greater Glory of God.
The MGA members renewed their baptismal vows soon after the homily and also renewed the Montfortian Associate Promise after the Communion with lighted candles, symbolising their intent to burn like the candle and spread the light of hope and peace.
After the final blessing the members of MGA along with the Rev. Brothers came in procession to venerate Mary our Mother of God with a Rose while the choir sang the Marian Hymn, ‘O Queen of the Holy Rosary’. The celebration ended with a group photo and High Tea. May St Montfort continue to inspire us to grow closer along with the Virgin Mother and touch the Heart of Jesus, our Redeemer.
