Province of Spain – TOGETHER WE ARE + – Meeting of AGMONT Associates

On the evening of 22 October, the AGMONT group of associates, after two years and seven months of hiatus due to the pandemic, was able to meet in person in the theatre of the San Gabriel Sant Adrià school in Barcelona.

It was a day of special joy because there was much to celebrate. First and foremost, the meeting in this new normality; then, the whole journey made by this group since 1998, the date of the closing of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the canonisation of our founder, Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, until today, with the aim of continuing to project our future with enthusiasm; and finally, the arrival of Brothers Robert Stanislas Bantsimba and Marreddy Thirumalareddy to the international community recently created in Sant Adrià de Besòs, Barcelona. 

After this look at the past, Brother Alejandro Martínez Aguilar, one of the leaders of the group from the beginning, and María Jesús Ramos Rubio, coordinator of the Formation Team for the Gabrielite Shared Mission, presented the different movements of associates which have arisen in each and every one of the provinces in which the Brothers are present, their origins, the activities they carry out and the priority they give to the Consecration to Jesus through the hands of Mary.

Afterwards, Brother José María Vicario presided over the Eucharist, which has always been a vital point of this group of associates of the Province of Spain.

After sharing supper, we all left strengthened and happy on knowing that we are many groups who share the charism, spirituality and mission of the Brothers of St. Gabriel on the five continents. Because TOGETHER, Brothers and Lay people from all over the world, WE ARE + in the proclamation of the Kingdom of God from the Montfortian-Gabrielite perspective and in the construction of a fraternal world, more just and solidarity.
